Right now, when everyone is staying at home during these crazy times, it’s safe to say that we are all struggling with things to do at home. We all read about movies to watch, exercise to do and so on, but I want to share some productive tips on how to spend your free time and feel accomplished at the end of the day.
The main thing is – keep out of your couch! 😉
1. Prepare your outfits in advance for the upcoming season
Organizing your closet isn’t just about cleanliness, it’s about categorizing everything you have, getting rid of the stuff you don’t wear anymore, and rebooting your style for the coming season. Crank up your favorite music and get to work. Get it all out and now with your closet completely clean and your room a total mess – edit your collection of clothes, get rid of the things you don’t need anymore. Now it is the perfect time to pre-plan your outfits. Take a look at what you have and search for inspirations of how to wear it stylishly on Pinterest, Instagram or other platforms.
When quarantine’s over – you’ll be prepared to take over the world as a high-end fashion catwalk – and all with just a little bit of planning. Here’s a tip: create a picture album on your phone – snapshots of you wearing your pre-prepared outfits and no more mornings with a headache of what to wear today – open the album, browse it and see it all in one place! 😉
2. Clean out your fridge and kitchen for a SPECIAL tip
A clean kitchen is one of the most amazing things in a home, but I bet you still have some leftovers that need to be tossed out, mysterious packets with an expired date of usage or food that you won’t be cooking in any way, shape or form. :/
So clean all that out, and check out amazing natural beauty tips from our previous blog – homemade scrubs and masks! I bet you want to pamper yourself so read it HERE and take some time to relax!
3. Have a smart online shopping session
Now that you have your closet and cabinets in order, and your clothes ready – you can see what might be missing for your wardrobe, interior or just good mood in general. Make yourself a cup of latte, sit back and have a virtual shopping evening. Shop smart! Even if you don’t buy anything – feasting your eyes on beautiful stuff makes you feel great too. And it’s no secret that the days are far more fun when you know your much-anticipated shipment is on its way!
4. Make an immune-boosting soup
Not much of a cooker? I know… me neither. But now it is a great time to practice your cooking skills and finally nail that amazing, warm and soul-healing soup! It’s great for boosting the immune system, super simple and always unbelievably tasty. There are plenty of different recipes online – just take a look at Pinterest and surprise your family with it. But HERE is our favorite!
5. Update your profile pictures… 😉
Update your picture album from mirror-selfies to taken by someone – play dress up and have fun!
Put on your favorite dress, find good lighting at your home/balcony/terrace and ask your roommate, boyfriend or fiancé, to take some spectacular shots!
6. Learn new skills
The most successful people in the world are the ones who commit to never stop learning.
They’re always learning new skills and aspects of the world around them. Instructional courses, tutorials, masterclasses are really easy to find. Many of them are even offered for free, and you can peruse local forums or gatherings to find group workshops. And don’t underestimate the value of free online courses. Now it is the best time to finally start learning a language you always wanted to learn, find out more about writing, business management, – whatever you dreamt of. Go on and find yours! It is indeed the best time!
7. Sharpen your brain and memory
Stop binge-watching movies online. Get off your couch and do brain-feeding activities. For example – do a puzzle, play chess, do sudoku or a crossword puzzle. It relieves stress, and studies prove, that it can even boost your IQ!
Thank you for being!
Until next time,
